Reviews by Test and Time
Sometimes it’s hard to pick out a new product. We win some. We lose some. Not every new product is worth purchasing. Not all that glitters is gold. Not every new brand is a break out. But you don’t know until you know. You know? It’s new. It’s shiny. I’m so excited. Wait. Oh no. It’s a piece of junk! It stopped working already. We all know that feeling. Your heart sinks. What did I do wrong? Did I break it? Or did it just break down? Ugh. It just broke down. Already. I may not have broken it, but I still bargained for a bummer.

They say when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. Too bad I can’t drink this failure. I’ll have to settle for my morning coffee instead. It’s kind of like buying a new car. How do you know you’re buying a lemon? I’m not really sure, actually. You can test drive it before you buy it and drive off the lot. It has a manufacturer warranty, so that’s helpful, but that’s not always a sure thing. When you drive down the road and look around, you notice new cars, old cars, trucks, and commercial vehicles. All sorts of vehicles operate on the road. And then, something begins to stand out. Some older model car brands seem to be on the road longer than others.
Huh. Interesting. And then on the other hand, with some car brands it seems the older models of their cars don’t even exist. It’s just the latest ones. There’s a reason for that. Some vehicles are built to last. They’re designed to pass the test. Others are rated to last just longer than their manufacturer warranty. Throw it away. Get a new one. Buy it new, and buy it more often. It can make you feel like you’re subscribed to the junk yard. Sometimes, cheap isn’t always cheap. Some things are just built different. Cheap price, short life. Now that’s designed obsolescence. Sometimes expensive is cheaper than cheap in the long run because it’s built to last. Quality over quantity.
Throughout Time
In fact, I think they named a law after that. Ah, that’s right. It’s called the lemon law. That’s where the government stepped in and said, hold on a second. That’s bad for business. We need to regulate that. We need some consumer protections in play so the peoples’ livelihood can stay. Now, not every industry that makes products has lemon laws to protect us. I think that’s new just cars. And not everyone drives their personal products down the road for all to see. So how do we know that old thing is better than the new thing? Good thing we can always read reviews online. We can see what people have posted. We can look throughout time and consider the tales they had to tell. You can always check out others experiences before deciding this is the one for you.
